Once service is initiated our robots are primed to monitor your selected servers.  Remote system monitoring is the only sure way to determine your servers' true reliability.

In the event of downtime, w
e notify you immediately when your services are fully or partially down, by sending a short message indicating which portion of your service is unreachable. Messages are sent via email to either your email address or an email address assigned by your cell phone / SMS / pager service.

If down, three escalating warning messages are sent at your selected intervals, and we keep monitoring and adding to your account history. To avoid too many email notifications, the email notification service is retired until your server is back up. At this time, we notify you with the "service resumed" email.

At any time you can visit your toolshed, and view your current configuration, make updates to your configuration, and see detailed reports of your yearly status history.

Do I really need this?

Anytime you wish to modify your monitoring services you can logon to your toolshed and make your edits.


I have a huge website, with a shopping cart and forums, how many pages do you monitor and how many can I test?
System Status monitors the network and protocols that run your web site, not individual pages. Network problems are the ones you have no control over and often have no idea they even occurred. The amount of downtime your server may be getting during your REM hours could astound you.  Provider techies often say, "Oh, luckily most of our clients are still asleep, so they won't notice". When problems like this occur you lose business worldwide, because someone is always online.


Will you spam me with newsletters or share my information?
No, we respect the privacy of our clients as well as their time, therefore we only send our welcome letter, downtime notifications, and the next billing notification.


What happens after the 6 month signup period, is my card charged again?
No, we send you an email and you can access your toolshed to make your next bi-annual payment.


How come you're cheaper than other monitoring systems, does this even work?
Yes, System Status works, and is as efficient and reliable as the rest. We are cheaper because we do not pay for additional advertising (as the web should be), and only cover our company running costs. Besides, by setting our prices low, everyone wins, and we have happier clients that stay with us for years to come and refer their friends.


Where are you running your service from?
We use different servers throughout the US (Florida and California) and Europe. However, having multiple worldwide locations is not imperative, If you're down, you're down, and no one can get through no matter where they are. 


Do you offer any tech support?
Yes and No. We will answer any pertinent questions regarding your account setup so that the monitoring and notification is running smoothly, however, tech support regarding your remote server should be handled by your provider. We know tech support issues can be a huge problem and eat your time, so we will be adding (in the near future) our remote system administration service, so you can also run your servers more efficiently.
